Location Overview
Located on the second floor-north of St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, this clinic provides inpatient acute and rehabilitation therapy for St. James patients 6 days a week.
This hospital location also has a 30-bed acute rehabilitation unit providing advanced physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to patients with a variety of diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, post surgical, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, generalized weakness, head trauma, and a variety of other diagnoses.
The rehabilitation department features an advanced treadmill system with body weight support. This system allows intensive training for patients with severely limited ambulation ability in order to regain the necessary skills to walk in a safe and secure environment.
The rehabilitation department also uses the Nintendo Wii gaming system to promote improved postural function, balance and stability in standing or sitting and improve upper limb range of motion for functional reaching ability.
During the patients recovery the therapy staff will utilize the department’s simulated home environment and car simulator (if appropriate) to help the patient regain their independence in preparation for returning home.

Location Overview
Along with private treatment rooms and a therapy area, this clinic has the opportunity to utilize the modern exercise and fitness equipment throughout the entire health club facility. This facility has to pools available to the therapy team - making aquatic therapy a viable option for some patients.
This facility provides industrial rehabilitation services, including functional capacity evaluations and work conditioning, to help injured employees return to their jobs.
Outpatient physical therapy is provided Monday through Friday (including evening hours) for a full range of patients - treating a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and developmental diagnoses.
